사람을 채용하거나 계약을 체결할 때 사용하는 표현. 모든 조건이 동일한 상항에서 쓰는 말이에요.

A: Did you find anyone competent?

B: Actually quite a number of candidates are pretty good. I’m trying to be as fair as I can.

A: Of course we’ll have to assess candidates as fairly as possible but, all things being equal, I’d prefer to have a young and dynamic person.

A: 괜찮은 사람 찾았어?

B: 실은 훌륭한 후보가 꽤 많이 있어. 최대한 공정하게 뽑으려고 노력 중이야.

A: 당연히 모든 후보를 공정하게 평가해야겠지만 난 모든 조건이 같다면 젊고 활기 넘치는 사람이 좋을 것 같아.
